About our Student Night

On Thursday October 28th, between 16:00-16:45 CET we open up our garage digitally to share an introduction to life at IS IT A BIRD as an intern.

Spring internship applications are open and we would like to offer you the opportunity to tune in and explore our office in a safe way.

We will introduce the overall framework of our internships, share how we utilize the social sciences in our research phase and introduce how we work with human centred design in innovation.

Our current research and design interns will also join the conversation and share their experiences. In the final 20 minutes of the session we’ll give you the opportunity to ask us any of your questions

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Growth and Structure of Cities from Bryn Mawr College and has worked globally and across different disciplines both in her occupational and academic pursuits. Her interests lie in professionally "people-watching" and observing the mutual relationship between designed things (spaces, objects, or services) and people.

Carolina Navarro Sarmiento

Design Intern, IS IT A BIRD

Carolina recently graduated from Design & Innovation at Denmark's Technical University (DTU). Throughout her education and career, she has been passionate about human-centered design research which led her to an interest in behavioural design. She has previously worked in the fields of design methods and sustainable product design. She enjoys the uncertainty around the form a design solution may take at the end of a design process and making that tangible.
